The Cambridge Short Story Prize 2017

To enter the Cambridge Short Story Prize 2017, please read through the Terms and conditions and fill out the form below.


Terms and Conditions

  1. Entries are accepted from anywhere in the world, but they must be in English.
  2. Entries must be the original an exclusive work of the author.
  3. Wordcount should be between 1,500 and 3,000 (including the title).
  4. Entries should be written in a size 12, Time New Roman or similar font, with lines double spaced.
  5. Entries should be submitted as doc or dox only.
  6. There is no limit to the number of entries, but each submission should be accompanied by the correct fee.
  7. The short story title and word count should be at the top of the first page. All pages should be numbered.
  8. Entries must be anonymous, with no name, address, or identifier on the submission.
  9. Entries must not have been previously published (in print or online), or have won awards.
  10. Simultaneous submissions are fine, but please let us know if your short story is accepted elsewhere.
  11. Entrants must be at least sixteen years old.
  12. All decisions are final.
  13. TSS Publishing reserves the right to remove any short story from the competition if the terms are not met.
  14. Refunds are not possible.

In early February, the shortlisted writers will be notified by email and given offers of publication.
